Classmates.com Layoffs

Word on the street is that United Online and its Classmates.com group have done a large round of layoffs. In August 2007, Classmates.com which is a unit of United Online had filed to do a $125M IPO. So for the folks have been filling the sites there it must seem like an amusement park whipsaw ride. There is no confirmation yet from the company about the layoffs but it does seem smart for them to do the dirty on the same day as Yahoo's massive layoffs.

I bet United smartens up and starts cutting into the staff of their "net zero" and "Juno" division asap too. A "graphics user interface director" in that division earns over 120k a year and for what?!. Insane!

Classmates.com is a fraudulent organization that should be put right out of business. They have automatically charged my $50 credit card after a year. I'm absolutely furious and want my money back. It should be taken right off the internet.
