Video Advertising's Mixpo Raises $4M More
Mixpo, a Seattle-based provider of online video advertising solutions, has raised $4M in Series B led by Madrona Venture Group with return backers Yaletown Venture Partners and Growthworks Capital. Mixpo previously raised $6.5M.
A year ago at the Demo event Mixpo unveiled its product which was more about video management then it was video advertising. Evidently, they have morphed to chase the online advertising dollar.
Mixpo sells a VideoAd platform to advertisers, both small and large, to run online video ads and to promote their business at the local level. Mixpo’s VideoAd platform is available through partnerships with local media publishers including Comcast Spotlight, NBC Local Media and Tribune.
The startup is led by president and CEO Anupam Gupta who was with MSFT for 8 years.
