Ad Giant Dave Morgan Raises $4M For Simulmedia

simulmedia.png
Dave Morgan is one of a handful of godfathers of online advertising. Not only did he found behavioral network Tacoda, which he sold to AOL, but going back he founded Real Media back in 1995. He is now at work on a new startup called Simulmedia, which he founded 6 months back. NYC-based Simulmedia closed $4M in first round funding from Avalon Ventures and Union Square Ventures.

The concept here seems a bit sketchy but looks like they want to apply behavioral ad serving technology to TV ads. So you are a watching Desperate Housewives and you are a gangster you might get a ringtones ad but if you are in a tony house you might get a Schwab add. Makes sense and given how much money is at stake its hard to understand why it has not been tackled.
