Caterina Fake's NewCo Hunch Raises $2M 1st Round

NYC-based Hunch has raised $2M in Series A funding, says PEWire. Hunch founder and CEO Chris Dixon was once an associate with Bessemer. The startup's CEO/Co-founder was CEO of SiteAdvisor which was acquired by McAfee. Caterina Fake, who was made famous by her founding of Flickr, is Hunch's Co-founder and CPO.
The pre-launch company has been in the works for the past months and plans to launch a consumer decision engine of some sort.
UPDATE - checking back in, Hunch has put up a fact sheet. You can also request an invitation. The gist is that users can ask Hunch a Yahoo! Answers type of random question and gist will ask you follow-up questions back.
Q: Should I get out of stocks today?
Hunch might then respond with a series of questions to determine what level or risk you can take before it ultimately gives you a response.
Q&A sites can drive traffic for sure and its too soon to draw conclusions but we often ask if we would use such a service frequently and do not feel compelled.

It's outstanding that she's assumed the role of Chief Petty Officer. I didn't even know she was in the Navy!

Not really an original idea, though. The site http://www.decide-now.com has been running a similar spoof about decision making for many years.

Is there no link to the PEHub article because it's behind a paywall? Was the funding from Bessemer? This article makes me sad. :(
