Fantzer Raises $2M For Celeb and Jock Product Links

Fanzter (aka Coolspotters) has closed its 2nd round of funding at $2M - it raised $2M in its 1st round. Steamboat Ventures led the round, with Second Avenue Partners. Coolspotters is a community for users to recommend and buy products used by celebs. Fantzer is also working on a sports site called Simple Sports.

Could life be any more dull than tagging Rob Schneider drinking a tall soy boy?
Collinsville, CT.-based Fantzer was co-founded in 2007 by a couple of former ESPN execs. They say that the site got 350,000 unique users as of January 2009. Those numbers are ok but we are still bored.

what the hell does this company do? Seriously, I can't figure it out.
Steamboat Ventures is part of Disney. Disney owns ESPN. This is a backroom sweetheart deal and nothing more.

Rule 1: anything business name with "ster" or, worse, a "zter" appended the end is doomed.
