Tech:gigger - MTV Has Job of The Week
Normally, a VP of Product Management at MTV would not catch our eye, but there are a couple of things stand out. First off all, it seems there is no end to do down-sizing and turmoil at startups so a gig with a larger company might be the way to go right now - unless you are going to start you own company. Sure big companies are down-sizing too. But we have to feel that MTV is not going to get rid of this position in the next couple of years whereas, startups might hire someone and then two months later realize their backers have no more taste for it.
The other thing that stands out is that MTV is building a platform called Scenic and this position is managing that. Scenic enables MTV to deploy new, custom websites.
