Batanga Ads on To Spanish Language Ad Network

Miami-based Bantanga is up to the $40M mark in funds raised after its latest round of fund-raising, which VentureWire sets at $2.5M. Previous backers Tudor Ventures and H.I.G. Ventures led the round with existing angel investors. Batanga had acquired the Hispanoclick ad network last year which explains much of the funding.

We understand that the margins at Batanga are terrible. So if there is to be a pay-out for investors, something has to give. Founded in 1999, Batanga is a survivor, we'll give it that.
