Peripherals To WiFi Maker Ozmo Devices Raises $750K More

Palo Alto-based Ozmo Devices raised $12.5M in 2005 from Granite Ventures, Intel Capital and Tallwood Venture Capital. However, the startup is back at the well taking on another $750K in venture debt.

Ozmo Devices launched a year ago. Its products extend the functionality of Wi-Fi-enabled platforms to communicate with low-power wireless peripherals like mice and headsets. Ozmo sells a mix of software and chips to peripheral makers. While the company early validation from Intel, the problem is that they compete with bluetooth and that standard has won and won big. They might have a great product but when you compete against a standard with all the momentum you either beat them or join them.
