GOOD Raises First Round For Do-Gooder Biz
LA-based GOOD has consolidated Reason Pictures, GOOD Magazine and GOOD Digital under a new single entity – GOOD Worldwide. The company says its sites get 2M monthly unique visitors and serve 25M video streams. GOOD says they have closed Series A lead by CEO and co-founder Ben Goldhirsh with angel investors including Nicholas Negroponte.
GOOD targets people "who want to live well and do good." Launched in September 2006, GOOD launched a 'Choose GOOD' campaign which has directed over $1M in revenue to nonprofits around the world.
It's a nice site. Not a big business here, although Treehugger which tapped into a large environmental interests did well with its sale to Discovery.
