Business Vertical Ad Network Bizo Raises $6M

bizo.png
San Francisco-based Bizo has raised $6M. Bessemer Venture Partners led the round with existing investors Venrock, Vulcan and Ascent. Bizo was a spin-off of ZoomInfo in May 2008 and its CEO Russell Glass was SVP & GM at ZoomInfo.

Bizo charges high rates with the claim that the can target ads at job titles within companies in verticals.

We think that Bizo could do good things, especially as traditional online business sites like BusinessWeek and Forbes are in disarray and will not be innovating. We would expect that LinkedIn can and should be a powerhouse in business targeting but it would seem to be a fertile area to focus on.
