Utility Scale Panel Maker Amonix Raises $40M; Gets New CEO

amonix.png
Torrance, CA-based Amonix has raised $40M, as part of a $98.23M funding effort being led by Lazard Freres & Company.

A key difference with Amonix and typical solar panels is that these panels come with two axes so that the panels can follow the sun and thus grab more sunlight during a day.

15 year old Amonix is led by Brian Robertson who just took over the helm this month. He was CEO at Sunworks and President at SunEdison. Amonix competes with other utility scale solar panel makers like Morgan Solar.
