RichFX Salvaged By Channel Advisor For $3.1M After It Blew Through $60M

Thumb RichFX was bought for $3.1M by rival ChannelAdvisor. RichFX had raising $60M from venture capital funds. To some extent this is a win for the startup as it had filed for Chapter 11 last year. ChannelAdvisor is also well funded, having raised $50M. RichFX has rolled through any number of business plans. It currently hosts rich media assets, primarily for eCommerce companies. Richfx Handiwork RichFX was founded in 1998. Web Sales Optimization's Amadesa Raises $5.4M

Thumb Amadesa Inc. has raised $5.4M in Series A from Carmel Ventures. Amadesa sells software that does behavioral targeting, product recommendations, shopping cart/billing form optimization, data collection optimization, and multivariate testing. Customers get a choice of higher end managed service or self-service options. The Chicago-based company has David Efergan as its CEO - he was VP operations at Digital River. BabyStyle Throws The Baby Out With Chapter 11 Filing

Thumb Having raised $140M, eStyle (aka BabyStyle) has filed for bankruptcy. The company launched as an eCommerce site selling baby and maternity clothes and along the way launched some offline storefronts. The alarm:clock wife says that the clothing is great, but it is more high-end than can be find at your local Target and in this economy it seems that boutiquish businesses are suffering.
